There is a reason why we see trendy hairstyles with braids each and every summer, without fail. The summer of 2013 is certainly no exception; everywhere we look the hottest celebs are stepping out in gorgeous summer outfits like mini or maxi dresses and they’re topping off their looks with adorable braided dos. We should definitely be taking a tip from our favorite celebs. When you’re headed out at night after you spend a long, lazy day lounging around on the beach or the temps are so high you can’t possibly where your hair down and be a sweaty mess, braids can be your best friends, ladies.
Braid your long hair in the back in a few different braids and coil them together to make an adorable, casual chignon at the base of your neck that is actually made of braids instead of a loose bun. Another great updo braid look is to create a crown braid that is braided on the side by your ear and then stretched across the top of your head by your forehead and pinned by your other ear. The result is a braid that looks like a crown across your head. If you want to wear your hear down but you wish to contain some of the frizziness that comes with summer hair on a hot day, just pull all your hair over one shoulder and create a long braid going down one side and over your shoulder. Or just braid the front of your hair with two braids, one on each side of your part, for a headband braid that keeps your hair out of your face and keeps you feeling cool and looking even cooler.
