Many young women wonder exactly when they should begin to include facial moisturizers in their beauty regimen and the answer usually depends on a few different factors. Younger women with dry skin or who are often in the sun may want to use a daily moisturizer, while girls who are prone to breakouts and have oily skin need to be careful with the creams they use on their faces until they are old enough to need moisturizer. However, the skin around the eyes is a different story and pretty much every woman, regardless of skin type, should begin using eye cream as early as her 20s.
The thin skin around the eyes is the very first place that age usually begins to show on our skin. In our 30s and even into our 40s, while the skin on our faces and necks is still relatively elastic, the skin around our eyes begins to loosen and sag, we develop fine lines at the sides and beneath the eyes and we start to see the appearance of dark circles and bags. Before all of this happens is the best time to start using a moisturizing eye cream each night and morning after we wash our faces. Anything you can do to help that thin skin retain its elasticity will help you greatly when your face begins to age. If you wait to address the problem once these wrinkles or bags set in, it will be much more difficult to get results.
